Comment: This is the battery that should come with your video camera by default.

What do you do if you want to record events that last longer than 1.5 hours ? You upgrade the battery, right.

The BP-827 (4.5h) is not easy available yet everywhere so the BP-819 becomes the only choice.

It can last close to 3h and thats enough to capture most events.
(Fireworks, school event of your kid, concerts, theatre etc.).

With the external charger the battery is charged in roughly the same time (3h) with the cameras included charger its taking 4h.

Comment: Canon BP-819 extends shooting time significantly, battery does its job and, even though larger than original equipment, is not unwieldy.

Comment: With this battery, you can almost utilize your full memory capacity of the Canon HF10 in High Def! Well worth the $.
