Comment: I am Deployed to Kosovo, I feel that (if anything) the lens adapter is well worth the cost for the simple fact I dont have to baby the camera in a hostile fire zone. I can throw the camera down in an instant if the mission dictates without having to worry about damaging the lens assembly. I like that the camera if the second adapter is on the camera doesn't lengthen the camera to speak of. I have to keep the camera in everything from a back pack that is thrown into a truck and setting on the radio system in the truck. I feel the lens adapter will save me alot of money in repairs on the lens assembly in the future.

Summary: Lens adapter and hood

Comment: Works well with my Canon Powershot S5 IS. Though I did find a seller on the net who has the metal adapter alone for a much cheaper price so ended up getting two more adapters through that site to use with my filters and lenses. Its much quicker to change out the filters and lenses by having an adapter on all of them rather than screw on a different filter or lens on one adapter to change them out.
