The CCD-TRV 408 represents Sony's most sophisticated range of domestic analog camcorders. The high-end CCD-TRV408 integrates a ?" CCD as well as Steady Shot. This model also features a proprietary Easy Dubbing feature, which has been developed by Sony to provide easy and accurate editing facilities on any brand of VCR without an LANC cable. With this neat feature, users can copy video footage scene by scene using the camcorder to control the system. The two pieces of equipment communicate by pre-subscribed infrared codes to synchronize recording. The Sony Hi8 Series carries a number of codes relating to different VCR manufacturers VCR products and allows them to pair up with a wide range of VCR models, not just Sony.
