Comment: It is an alright camera. Not exactly worth the price since I do believe the Elph LT is more worth it and its cheaper. Pretty much similar functions. If you are looking for an entry level nice looking camera, this or the Elph would fit your bill. Don't expect too much from its features.

Vivitar XM1K camera is housed in a stainless steel exterior with LCD screen on the top and is quite attractive. The size is very small and most people will say that it's the smallest camera they have ever seen. The flash is pretty cool in itself as it slowly rises with the aid of a motor and slowly retracts when the camera is turned off, not like the cheaper pop-out method. The camera comes with a leather case and has a small tripod mount on the bottom. The sharp Vivitar computer designed lens allows taking crisp and clear shots. The lens emerges and opens its cap with a motor, that looks very amusing. Retractable lens and flash create an ultra-compact design.The camera is packed with the excellent features. Motorized film loading, advance and rewind make everyday use of the camera easier. There is the standard flash on/off/auto as well as a special night mode that keeps the shutter open longer. Red-eye reduction is achieved in a rather interesting way - instead of using the flash, a tiny light on the front of the camera turns on - but it is very bright! The self-timer relies on this light as well as an indicator as to when the picture will be taken. The camera has three mid-roll switchable print formats: Classic, DTV and Panorama; LCD display shows seven functions.
