Summary: Cheap Thrills
Comment: I bought mine at WalMart 2 years ago because I wanted something inexpensive and easy to fool around with. I was not expecting good quality pictures...and I was not disappointed.
But a funny thing happened when I was learning Photoshop.Needing images to work on, I scanned in my crappy snapshots at a fairly high resolution and was amazed at what appeared on my screen. Then I played with color, contrast, levels, etc. You can probably get the same results with any of the cheaper photo editting programs that are out there.
This only seems to be true for daylight pics.Everything I've taken after dark sucks because of the damn automatic flash.
Recently I tried a pack of the black and white film and the results were really cool. The camera itself cost about 30 bucks, but without a scanner and software the pics are pretty worthless. However it is incredibly easy to use and you can usually find good deals on the film which is available everywhere (for now anyway)The B/W film is a little harder to find, but worth it.
And I'll even admit to sneaking up on my sleeping cat for a candid close up...the motor whirrs as the camera spits out the picture and the puzzled look on his face is priceless.
